Why shop at Amazon Australia?
Since 2017, Amazon has offered hundreds of thousands of products delivered quickly to Australians.
While its large product range is reason enough to shop at Amazon, the online retail giant also offers a huge range of benefits to entice customers to shop with them.
Amazon Prime
The biggest benefit for Amazon customers comes in the form of its Prime subscription program.
Amazon Prime offers users fast, free delivery on thousands of products. This can be as quickly delivered as the next day depending on where you live, but is generally available as two-day delivery.
There's also access to Amazon's global store, with expedited shipping from international stores included in the subscription. Normally there's a $49 minimum spend, though Amazon has temporarily removed this requirement.
What's more, Amazon offers a free trial of its Amazon Prime offering, so you can enjoy the benefits with no up front cost for 30 days.
Bundled TV streaming
Additionally, Amazon includes subscriptions to Amazon Prime Video, a streaming video platform like Netflix that offers hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of entertainment.
Amazon has invested heavily in the video service, with massive hit shows like The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Wheel of Time and The Boys. Amazon is also planning to relaunch Neighbours.
Listen more, read more
Included in a Prime subscription is access to millions of songs which can be streamed for no additional cost. There's also access to Prime Reading, which offers hundreds of Kindle e-books to subscribers to read every month.
Free games
Your Amazon Prime subscription benefits don't end with movies, TV shows, music and books. You also get access to free games every month.
Daily deals
Not only does Amazon Australia have a massive catalogue of products on offer, it also offers significant discounts every single day.
Whether it's a Lightning Deal, which offers a significant discount on a product for a limited time, or a Top Deal, which is a more traditional sale on popular products, there is never any reason to pay full price for products on Amazon.
Amazon is also one of the biggest retailers to offer savings during big sale events like Black Friday and Boxing Day. It also has its own sale event, Amazon Prime Day, which offers incredible discounts.
Subscribe and Save
Amazon may be better known for consumer electronics and books, but it also has a wide range of everyday household items.
While the regular price typically matches the price at Coles or Woolworths, you can save more by setting a subscription to regularly receive the items you always need.
Toothpaste, muesli bars and nappies are all common options for Subscribe and Save. Look for the Subscribe and Save option when you add an item to your cart to find more ways to save.
Free delivery
Even if you aren't a Prime subscriber, Amazon offers free shipping on selected eligible products.
You will need to spend a minimum of $39 to qualify for free delivery without a Prime membership.
You need to look for the "FREE Delivery" message on the product details page. It will only appear on items that are fulfilled by Amazon, regardless of whether they are sold by Amazon Australia or a third-party seller.
Any items fulfilled by a third party seller, or some bulky items, won't be eligible for free delivery.
Free returns
If you find yourself needing to return a product to Amazon, rest easy knowing that you can usually do it without having to incur the expense yourself.
Simply look for the Free returns message on the product page to ensure it is eligible. Then after a product has been returned to Amazon's warehouse, the retailer will reimburse the cost up to $17.
You won't be reimbursed any delivery fees you paid to receive the item though, which is another good reason to sign up to Amazon Prime.
