Good news for PlayStation gamers. Starting today, Aussies can pre-order the upcoming PlayStation Explore and Playstation Pulse gaming headsets, with the Explore earbuds officially launching on December 6.

The Pulse Elite wireless headset, meanwhile will launch on Feb 21 2024.

Both products are designed to compliment the PlayStation 5’s design and performance by offering a superior, immersive audio experience.

This is done through a new lossless wireless audio technology called PlayStation Link. There’s a special adapter that will ship with both audio products, which can plug into your PS5 to deliver the low-latency, lossless audio experience.

They also support Bluetooth, so you can pair them with both your PS5 – through the PlayStation Link adapter – and your smartphone simultaneously, to receive calls without having to stop your game.

According to Sony, the new Pulse headsets will even mix the audio together so you can keep playing while talking on the phone.

The new gaming headsets are both designed to seamlessly switch between the PS5 and the PlayStation Portal when that launches in early 2024 as well.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the products make the list of the best gaming headsets in Australia after they hit shelves.

The Pulse Elite headset will launch officially on 21 Feb 2024, but you can pre-order now. It will have an RRP of $239.95.

Sony will also sell the PlayStation Link USB adapters separately for $34.95, and they will go on sale on 6 December 2023.

So far, the only store I’ve seen offering the pre-order is EB Games. Will update if I see any other locations selling the headsets.
